DRAWINGSWelcome to the DRAWINGS section of LawrencePitonza.com. I have had to be my motherÍs eyes on a regular basis due to her rare eye condition, Achromatopsia, or complete color blindness. When color is not visible to people with this condition, they fill in the gaps of what they donÍt see, so they can create a realistic picture for themselves. For me, Drawing serves the same purpose, as it drives me to fill in the gaps. I can shape a line to create any imaginary vision. The art is created with dark lines or shapes on a whiter paper. Drawing is especially important to me, because it is usually the first step in creating anything from a painting to a sculpture to even a book. Art does not have to be three-dimensional to be beautiful, and two-dimensional drawings can be just as gratifying to the eye.
